OK OK! you guys will get an eye-friendlier version then
I rendered the video again, didn't touch the saturation this time, only set a little more contrast and adjusted the brightness. so the look is quite close to the original lfs graphics (apart from the reflections). another youtube version will not be added.
I'll add screenshots for comparison to the first post, then you can decide what looks better and download the version you like best. uploading takes some more time, going to add the download link as soon as possible. (EDIT: done)
thanks for the comments, guys! feels like it was worth all the work now
good video, both the edititing and the drifting (as far as I can judge that ) look really professional. I've never been a fan of drift videos in general but this one will definitely follow the few drift videos I like and go straight into my "LFS videos"-folder!
used to go to gym for more than 4 years, up to 6 times a week... no time for that anymore, now I'm trying to go running 3 times a week and do a little home workout, also three times a week.
ah and some sporadic biking, swimming and skating, depends on the weather and how much spare time I got.
yea I was wondering too, if it was too much... I certainly like it like that (maybe I got weird screen settings also!?) but I know that it's not everybody's cup of tea (got criticism about it on a previous movie as well). but also I got criticism for a "boring look" when leaving the colours close to the original LFS colours, hard to find the right balance
special thanks go to Lynce for offering the Revolution Pack, I used the reflections addon and tyre thread patterns in this video to give it a different look.
comments and ratings are welcome, enjoy the video!
NOTE: I rendered a second version (less saturation) for those of you who really didn't like the colours in my first version. this time the colours look quite much like they do in-game, for comparison have a look at those screenshots:

hardstyle :lovies3d: .. I often thought about using a hardstyle track in one of my movies, too. but then I usually chose something community-friendlier
for my taste the video is way too long, I'd recommend you to concentrate on the action parts next time. but nicely done anyway
I like the bbs rims too, but I think they fit better to the golf 3. also I've always been into the audi rs rims, and since I can't afford a proper audi, the golf will have to wear them some day
about car meets - never been a fan of those, probably I'd have to change a lot more things to identify with a car and feel like showing it off. and when seeing VW meets on tv, I seriously doubt if I'd ever want to go there :P
unfortunately those are not the winter tyres .. the car was dad's former company car and we bought it with the summer and winter tyres for quite cheap. probably I won't buy proper rims and new tyres before the summer tyres are worn out. although I'd really love to have the audi rs rims (or at least some cheaper fakes), so it would look like this.
and yea I actually did drive the 1.4 golf, too. feels a bit lazy, but so what, still a nice car imo
yup I finished that movie so early because I knew I won't have time for it later. and once a movie is finished, it's hard to keep it for yourself for a few months (comments in the movies thread are still welcome, by the way! )
but yea we better stick with the 03.06. I'd say, since we've now officially celebrated our birthday three times on that date.
and thanks for all the congratulations, a really nice gesture!
a lot of action and drama, imo the length is just perfect for such a video. the effects in the beginning and the music matched quite nicely also.
just one question, what video codec do you use? I downloaded the video but only the sound layer works, must be the same problem that Austin has. and the youtube HD version is laggy for me (which is a general problem and probably not related to your video), but no problems with the aspect ratio this time
